Actions planned by GUE/NGL parties for Week of Protest and Solidarity
Ireland
Saturday 26th
A demonstration will take place in Dublin city centre from 1pm. It will start from the Central Bank proceed past EU Offices and finish at Anglo Irish Bank.
Thursday 24th
On the evening of the 24th there will be a demonstration in Belfast at the European Commission office.
Greece
Tuesday 22
All-Greek Day of Action for social security and the pension system. This will involve protests around the country at social security offices in every city and, in particular, big demonstrations in Athens and Salonica.
Friday 25 June
International festival, with music and speeches from international speakers and trade unionists.
Sunday 27 June
All-Greek Day of Protest against the privatisation of train and railway services. This again will involve protests in all of the cities across Greece, in particular in Athens and Salonica.
Saturday 26th
In Lisbon on the afternoon of 26 June there will be a street action and the distribution of 200,000 pamphlets on the crisis with a contribution from Francisco Louçã and Members of Parliament.
Sweden
The Left Party is organising an event in Sweden in that week organised that will feature the Week of Protest with a concert and festival.
Protest on Tuesday 22nd outside the EU offices in Stockholm, organised by "September Alliance".
Denmark
MEP Søren Søndergaard will be organising a public meeting on the call for European wide solidarity during the week.

Britain
The National Shop Stewards Network rally on the 26th will be on the subject of international solidarity and will be in solidarity with the rest of the actions around Europe.
Belgium
The Front des Gauches are organising a demonstration in Brussels on Saturday 26th, 1pm, place Van Meenen, Saint Gilles.
Austria
Demonstrations in Salzburg and Vienna on June 22nd and 23rd.
Italy
General strike on the 25th.
